I couldn't find any other comments about this, so I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but CrickRock has been offline for at least a week. Probably much more, given the current absence of any sites at CrickRock.com in Yahoo site Explorer. In fact, the most recent Google cache of anything on the CrickRock site that I can find is from three months ago!
Those who had rings on the CrickRock system might want to start trying to rebuild them elsewhere, right away. Doublechecking my e-mail to see if I had missed anything, I found no notification from CrickRock that their system was about to shut down. I was a little bit surprised; those with better developed rings, like the 95 site European Coin Ring, are likely to be very surprised.
I hope they will move on salvaging what information they can from the cached copies of their ring hubpages, such as the identies of the sites on their old rings, so they can track those sites down and try to invite their owners to join any replacement rings which the displaced ringmasters might create. Those planning to do so need to hurry. A three month old cache is in imminent danger of disappearance, because Google should be refreshing that cache at any moment.
